报告摘要:

Quantum droplet states of ultracold atoms are self-bound and can survive in the vacuum for a considerably long time without trapping. Their research can be traced back to Kerson Huang's theoretical model of dilute liquid (1959). Its implementations in dipolar gases (2016) and in Bose mixtures (2018) have significantly elevated our interest. Quantum droplet appears in mean-field attractive Bose-Einstein condensates. The beyond-mean-field physics is critical to stabilizing it against collapse, beyond the Van der Waals paradigm. In this talk, I will report our recent works on quantum droplets, including the stability of elementary excitations, the liquid-gas coexistence at zero temperature, and the vortex lattice state in rotating droplets. These results give us more possibilities to explore the facsinating quantum effects in a highly controlled manner.

报告人简介:

辜琦,博士,于2021年获得北京大学凝聚态物理博士学位,2021年开始在清华大学高等研究院从事博士后工作。主要从事冷原子气体等量子物质的理论研究, 近期研究方向为深入理解两组分玻色系统的量子液滴的稳定性、相变和涡旋晶格的超越平均场的物理。
